Eggs are your main source of pets in Pet Sim 99, but not every egg is worth your coins or diamonds. Picking the right one to open can be the difference between a stacked team and a bunch of useless commons taking up space.
The game doesn't publish exact numbers, but the community has a pretty good handle on them. Normal eggs give Commons about 70% of the time, Rares around 25%, and Epics or better around 5%. Rare eggs flip that around — you're looking at roughly 40% Rare, 35% Epic, 15% Legendary, and a tiny chance at Mythic. Event eggs vary, but they're almost always better than normal eggs for the same tier.
Luck potions are real and they stack. Pop one before a big hatching session — don't waste them on single eggs. The game also has hidden luck mechanics: hatching in bulk (10+ eggs in a row) seems to give better results than one-off hatches. Some players swear by certain server locations or times of day, but that's probably confirmation bias. The bulk hatch trick, though, has data behind it.
Early game? Spam normal eggs. You need quantity, not quality — get a full team going before you worry about rarity. Mid-game is where you switch to rare eggs. By then you've got a decent team and you're hunting for upgrades, not fillers. Late game, save your diamonds for event eggs and limited-time offerings. And never, ever buy a single egg — save up and hatch in batches. Trust us on this one.
