Potions drop from breakables, chests, and event rewards everywhere. Higher zones mean better drop rates. Some potions you can craft from zone-specific ingredients — check the crafting NPC in your current world for recipes. Save your rare potions for 2x weekend events where the multiplier stacks.
Don't waste potions on idle grinding in low-level zones. Save them for active sessions in the hardest zone you can handle. Pop a potion right before a focused 30-minute farming block — starting one and then getting distracted is the #1 beginner mistake.
Crafting from zone drops is way cheaper than the shop, and the materials show up while you're already farming. Check the crafting NPC for recipes and stock up while you grind that zone.
